Tracey Turnbull
Clinical Psychologist
Tracey Turnbull is a Clinical Psychologist with 25 years of clinical experience. Tracey has a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) (Honours) Degree (Class I) and a Post-Graduate Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Newcastle.
Tracey has worked in a variety of settings with a broad range of clients who have diverse mental and physical health issues. She has worked extensively in multi-disciplinary settings, providing assessment, and clinical treatment (both individual and group therapy programs) for people experiencing chronic pain, physical Illnesses, injuries, trauma, grief and loss.
Tracey utilises a range of evidence-based interventions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Grief Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Compassion-Focussed Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Tracey enjoys working across all areas of Clinical Psychology including anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, stress management, grief and loss, adjustment disorders, chronic pain, chronic illness (including cancer), neurodiversity (including ADHD) and gender diversity. Tracey has a particular interest in supporting mental health during the mid-life hormonal transitions of peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause.
Tracey has a holistic, strengths-based approach and is a dedicated, professional, empathic and respectful clinician who is passionate about assisting people to find meaning and purpose throughout all stages of their lives. By creating a therapeutic space of warmth, validation, compassion, understanding and encouragement, Tracey supports each person within the therapy process and provides a range of evidence-based skills and techniques people can utilize to more easily face the challenges of life.
Tracey provides a safe and inclusive therapeutic environment for all people, culturally and linguistically diverse, and is a neurodiversity-affirming and LGBTQIAP+ affirming Clinical Psychologist.
